can you just... get in the coffin anyway?

The phone conversation between Jam on tonights Office had me glued to the television. Call me pathetic, but this is one of the few shows I look forward to watching every week. Long live Jam! ha.

bananas... in pyjamas

I signed up for a sewing class today. We're going to learn garment construction which I am looking forward to. The only catch is that five more people have to sign up. Although I don't like having this outlook, I have a feeling the class will be cancelled come November and I'll have to use my brain to make me a pair of flannel pyjamas. Come on brain, don't fail me now...!

Slean is a musical genius.

I have loved Sarah's work ever since I picked up Night Bugs back in 2002, but no word of a lie - she is spectacular live. Eric surprised me with tickets last month but the show was cancelled and (thankfully) rescheduled. It was worth the wait.

She had just returned to Canada, having spent much time in Paris, France touring, to perform at one of her favourite venues: The Grand Theatre. It was a lovely show; just Sarah and her piano, with a backdrop of stars. She told stories of her adventures in Europe. She took shout requests from the audience, and added in some new songs. She let us sing along to some parts, and we did. It was magical.

I left the venue feeling refreshed. This was something I had been waiting four years to see.

Thank you Sarah for a great show!
